The bombers are departing to War as Mary (Connie) sees them and tells her family. Then, Mary sees them dipping their wings...a signal of Eric's love for Tessa. Moments later, Tessa prays "...Come back Eric...come home!" An emotion which resounded throughout all of America as their loved ones went off to War. What a scene!
