American Picture News, Post WWII Japan, Theater Movie Program Brochure 

I have run across several variations of Sentimental Journey movie Ads.  However, what called my attention to this particular ad as produced by the American Picture News is that it was on a page of a theater program brochure dated from Post WWII Japan.  That’s right!  Sentimental Journey, evidently, made its way to Japanese theaters…in Japanese language, of course.  The entire program is in Japanese.  It is probably the most happiest of other variations of this ad I have seen and collected.  In other ads and photos I have, Connie is always sitting in front and between John Payne and Maureen O’Hara.  Her head is, therefore, always lower placed.  In this ad, all of their faces are horizontally aligned and have brilliant smiles.  Connie’s face just shines with enthusiastic happiness.  Look closely…John Payne and Maureen O’Hara, both great film giants, are each holding Connie’s hands.  Imagine the happy energy at that moment.
